The Adams County 4-H Office has welcomed Olivia Staub to their staff as the 2019 4-H Summer Program Assistant.
Olivia graduated from Gettysburg Area School District in 2017. She held many active roles during her time as member in Gettysburg’s FFA chapter, where she competed in career development events such as veterinary science and public speaking. Olivia has held jobs at local agricultural businesses during her time in high school, specifically Jobo Holsteins LLC and AgCom Inc.
In the fall, Olivia will be heading into her junior at Delaware Valley University where she is majoring in Agricultural Education. She is the President of Dairy Society and the Vice President of the Alumni/Collegiate FFA chapter, as well as a member of Sigma Alpha, which is the professional agriculture sorority on campus.
During the summer, Olivia will be assisting with various 4-H presentations, 4-H Overnight Camp, Ag Explorer Day Camp, South Mountain Fair, as well as planning and carrying out a variety of day camps that will be available to children that are in 4-H, as well as those who are not currently members of 4-H.
4-H is a youth organization designed to support young people from elementary school through high school in order to shape future leaders and innovators. 4-Her’s engage in hands on activities focused on science, citizenship, and healthy living. 4-H is open to children and teens ages 8-18.
