Learning to manage when the doctor says ‘We can’t fix it’

Posted: Wednesday, June 22, 2011 9:33 am

Mary Svikhart can visit the doctor and the grocery store in the same day, and that’s a big deal.

The Littlestown resident could barely walk from her car to a pizza stand at the Littlestown carnival in 2008.

Mary Svikhart should be commended . Instead of negative replies from doctors,
she didn't give up, she kept looking and checking and searching. A brave woman
who wouldn't let her condition shut her down. Your article tells her of her plight,
and might help direct someone who can give her helpful advice. It also alerts people to a rare and serious condition .Very important.
