May is Mental Health Month. May is a month to encourage people to think about the importance of mental health. What does mental health mean to you? We can think about our emotional well being. How do you handle everyday issues? How do you feel about yourself and your interactions with others? What are some things that you can do to help your mental health? Taking care of your body physically is important. Eating healthy meals and avoid processed foods are helpful techniques. Getting enough sleep allows your brain to rest so it can recharge for the next day. Getting exercise also helps to promote mental health by releasing hormones in the brain.
