Quilting `Peeps' to show their handiwork on First Friday

An art exhibit featuring quilts will be displayed from September through October. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Gettysburg, 136 S. Stratton St. A wine and cheese reception will be held at the church on Friday (First Friday event), Sept. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m., to honor the quilting artists.

Together, five women, Barbara Dombrowsky, Jill Coleman, Patsy Hartnett, Annette Ehly, and Judy Sorensen, are "The Peeps." These friends have quilted together weekly for 20 years and have a combined 150-plus years of quilting experience.
