'Night of Horror,' including some Rocky Horror, is the theme for the Adams County Arts Council's Masquerade Party set for Friday, Oct. 26, at 8 p.m. at the Gettysburg Hotel. A special addition to the annual event will be "Time Warp into Rocky Horror" presented by the Gettysburg Community Theatre under the direction of Chad-Alan Carr featuring Greg and Carrie Trax, Michael and Jessica Baker, Hans Schroeder, and Holly Fox with special guests Senator Rich Alloway, Battlefield Harley Davidson's David LeVan, Adams County Commissioner Marty Qually, and on air personalities Kim Alexander and Scott Donato from Great Country 107.7. According to Carr, audience participation will be encouraged!
The evening includes dancing to the Colgan-Hirsh Band with the Slammin' Horns, a fascinating selection of silent auction items, and Conga Line Costume Contest with cash prizes for scariest, most creative, sexiest, best couple, best group theme of three or more, and best of party. Proceeds from the event help support the Arts Council's mission of cultivating an arts-rich community through its programs at its new Arts Education Center and across the county.
