I had the opportunity to speak recently with two people working hard to make our community a better place. The first is Robin Fitzpatrick, president of the Adams County Economic Alliance, and Jacob Schindel, newly-elected president of Gettysburg Borough Council.
Although Robin is charged with economic projects county-wide, she and Jake are currently involved in seeing that the proposed Gettysburg Station project (REDDI) comes to fruition. I asked her about the prospect of solar farms in the county. She tells me to this point the Adams County Economic Alliance is not involved in any of the projects. She says the county is popular because of its topography and angle of the sun. Mount Joy Township is now considering a proposal for such a farm.
