It’s called a “cultural phenomenon” by Mr. Majestic, Jeffrey Gabel, and it will arrive in Gettysburg Sept. 20. The two-hour spectacular, “Downton Abbey,” a movie, is coming to our town with many of the cast you watched on television.

Jeffrey tells me the BBC television series “Downton Abbey” spanned seven seasons and broke all viewing records in the history of PBS. Jeffrey says the number of people who watched Downton Abbey exceeded the number of those who watched the original airing of Ken Burn’s “Civil War.”
