The Adams County Arts Council (ACAC) will offer a summer-themed culinary and wine event on Friday, June 21, 6-8 p.m., at the Arts Education Center, 125 S. Washington Street, Gettysburg.

The Taste of Summer: Food and Wine Pairings event will feature a five course meal created by Chef Anna Fetter and five flights wine tastings by wine specialist Nikki Biggus. The cost of the event is $50 for ACAC members and $55 for nonmembers.

The theme encompasses a sizzling and refreshing evening of summer fare and crisp, refreshing wines. Chef Anna’s unique sweet and savory five-course meal will feature local produce, fresh herbs and bright flavors.

“I love playing around with flavor and texture, so you may expect some unique tasting combinations,” she said.

As a starter, a trio of salsas will be offered, followed by a delicious sweet corn and white bean gazpacho. The main courses include a sweet and savory spinach salad and chicken and vegetable kabobs. And an all-American razelberry pie with ice cream and raspberry sauce for dessert. A fine selection of wine will be paired to complement each course.
