Two people among the dozens gathered at Southeastern Adams Volunteer Emergency Services’ (SAVES) station in McSherrystown Tuesday night would not have been there if it were not for the quick actions of others.

Kathryn Grove of Hanover suffered cardiac arrest in her home July 12. Her family quickly called 9-1-1 and call taker Heather Olinger explained to Kathryn’s son, Wendell Grove, how to perform CPR.
