Activists urged the Gettysburg Borough Council to consider adopting a local ordinance to protect the LGBT community’s civil rights.

Local action is needed because state law does not protect people from being denied housing or employment because they are LGBT, Pennsylvania Youth Congress Executive Director Jason Landau Goodman said during Monday’s council meeting.

Yeah, just what the borough needs another "feel good" ordinance that has the potential for unlimited legal abuse against property owners. The 14th Amendment of the Constitution already guarantees equal civil rights for all citizens, no matter their race, gender, religion, or orientation.
