U.S. Reps. Abby Finkenauer and Dr. John Joyce were the main players in hearing on broadband needs in rural area Monday in Gettysburg.

A Monday afternoon session at the Adams County Agricultural and Natural Resources Center in Gettysburg demonstrated that not all congressional hearings take place in Washington, D.C.

Two U.S. Congress members serving their first terms hosted what they termed a “field hearing” to learn more about the need for expansion of broadband access in rural areas, which currently fall far behind urban centers.
