Bids for school renovation approved

Renovations at Franklin Township Elementary School stepped closer to reality Monday evening with the Gettysburg Area School District board of directors' decision to award bids on the four prime contracts in the $5.05 million project.

The board voted 7-0 to authorize architects Crabtree, Rohrbaugh and Associates to issue letters of intent to award to the lowest responsible bidders in the project. Board members Sally Michael and Holly Fox were excused from the meeting.
