The Adams County Sheriff's Office received its official certificate of accreditation on Thursday from the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (PLEAC) during a ceremony in Harrisburg.

In July, 2001, the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association introduced its law enforcement accreditation program to help organizations evaluate and improve their performance.
