A man was flown to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash involving a truck and a sedan in Latimore Township Monday afternoon.

Upon arrival, first responders said they found the man was partially ejected, but still conscious and breathing.

Shortly after 2:15 p.m. the man was airlifted to Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital.

Multiple first responders including, Alfred Leer, chief of the York Springs Fire Company, said the man was “lucky to be in the condition he is in.”

The driver of the truck alleged the other vehicle entered his lane and claimed there were skid marks to support how the wreck happened.

The two men in the truck, which was pulling a small trailer, declined transportation by ambulance , but were checked out by personnel at the scene. According to a family member, the men were driving from work and were “almost home.”

The family member also said she heard the sirens and hoped it was not someone she knew.
