Lincoln Clothing Closet

AID — The clothing closet at Lincoln Elementary School is stocked with brand new clothes for children in need. Pictured in the closet are, from left: Amanda Staub, school counselor; Tim Seigman, district board member and member of Gettysburg Freemasons Good Samaritan Lodge #336; Tress Sapp, Freemason; Darrin D. Catts, Freemasons district deputy grand master; Douglas Sherwood, Freemason worshipful master.

A small, narrow closet on the second floor of Gettysburg’s Lincoln Elementary School serves a big purpose – to ensure every student has seasonally-appropriate clothes.

Such a space exists in all of Gettysburg’s elementary schools thanks to the support of the local community. All of the clothing items are brand new and available to any child who needs them.
