Between 170 and 175 elementary students are taking donated food home to their families each weekend, Upper Adams School Board learned Tuesday.

The John’s Meals program has provided nearly 60,000 meals for families in need since it began in 2014, said Angie Vines, who coordinates the weekend food ministry for Upper Adams Christians Together (UACT), a consortium of local churches.
