Biglerville Scouts help with food pantry

Boy Scout Daniel Peters, left, of Biglerville’s Troop 71, was one of the hosts at the Centenary United Methodist Church food pantry and dinner, at 99 N. Main St., Biglerville, Monday evening. Troop 71 Scouts gather staples during food drives and, for the last three years, have served as helpers during the pantry’s food distributions and free dinner events. The pantry is open in the basement of the church 6-7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the third Monday. The pantry relies on volunteers and donations from area businesses and individuals.
