2 trapped in pickup truck crash

Emergency personnel from Southeastern Adams Volunteer Emergency Services (SAVES) responded to crash in the 5200 block of Hanover Road (Rt. 116) at 9:44 a.m. on Thursday. A Ford F-150 ran off the road and struck a large tree, trapping both the driver and passenger. It took firefighters about 30 minutes to extricate them from the pickup truck. The truck was traveling east on Hanover Road just east of Geiselman Road in Union Township at the time of the crash. The driver and passenger were transported to York Hospital.
