1 patient airlifted after 2-car crash

Firefighters work on one of two vehicles involved in crash Tuesday at Appler Road and Hanover Street about 2.5 miles southeast of New Oxford. A Penn State Life Lion helicopter flew one patient to WellSpan York Hospital while another went by ambulance to UPMC Hanover, according to Adams Regional Emergency Medical Services’ (AREMS) Facebook page. The United Hook & Ladder and Irishtown fire companies responded, according to AREMS’ post. Authorities, including Eastern Adams Regional Police, were dispatched at 3:35 p.m., according to the Adams County Department of Emergency Services.
