College president lauded

Gettysburg College President Janet Riggs, left, holds a proclamation issued in her honor during Monday’s Gettysburg Borough Council meeting. Council President Susan Naugle holds a key to the borough presented to Riggs, who is retiring at the end of this month after serving the college in various positions since 1981. Naugle lauded Riggs as “a friend to the borough.” Riggs expressed appreciation for “all the support we get from the community.”
