Getting ready for Giving Spree

Organizations are ready to talk to donors about what they do and what they need to make Adams County an even greater place to live at the ninth annual Adams County Community Foundation Giving Spree. To attract prospective donors, each of 84 nonprofits has decorated a special piggy bank, some of which are displayed in front of the foundation’s Director of Community Programs Lisa Donahoe, left, and Director of Scholarships and Administration Beverly Grazulewicz. The first 1,000 donors to arrive at the Giving Spree at the Gettysburg Area Middle School on Nov. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. will receive a special coin worth $10 to deposit in the piggy bank of their choice. The foundation seeks to raise $1 million for Adams County nonprofits during the three hour event. More details are available at, or by calling 717-337-0060.
