Truck spins off road
A Hanover man was charged after a pickup truck slammed into a sign May 5.
Donald Weinreich, 32, was unhurt in the 4:27 p.m. crash on Pine Grove Road about 2.5 miles east of Littlestown, state police said.
He was at the wheel of a northbound 2005 Ford F250 when it went out of control on a curve, spun 180 degrees, hit a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation sign, and struck an embankment, police said.
He was cited for a failing to drive at a safe speed, according to a magisterial docket.
Car hits ditch
A man escaped injury in May 5 crash about 1.5 miles southeast of Biglerville.
A northbound 2005 Acura TSX, driven by Jose Mejia, 19, of Biglerville, failed to negotiate a curve at Shrivers Corner and Table Rock roads at 9:34 p.m., state police said.
Uninjured in the crash, he was charged with a lane violation, police said.
Crash injures 2
A New Oxford motorcyclist and his passenger were injured in May 11 wreck about three miles southwest of New Oxford.
Brian Weaver, 63, was southbound on Seymore Road when his motorcycle went out of control and ran off the road about a quarter-mile south of Centennial Road in Mount Pleasant Township, state police said.
He and his passenger were not wearing helmets and were transported by ambulance to WellSpan York Hospital after the 9:34 p.m. crash, said police, who did not release the passenger’s name.
A handgun was found at Hunterstown-Hampton and Coleman roads in Straban Township earlier this month.
Pennsylvania State Police, Gettysburg, said they were notified May 7. Police described the gun as a H. Schmidt model 21S .22-caliber revolver.
