Overdose reversed

A person was revived from a drug overdose Saturday in Franklin Township.

Authorities were dispatched at 11:57 p.m. to a location on Mount Carmel Road where a person had injected a drug called “scramble,” according to state police.

A National Institutes of Health website article defines scramble as an adulterated form of heroin.

Troopers said when they arrived, a person at the scene had already administered two doses of the overdose-reversing medication Narcan.

The person who overdosed refused medical attention, police said.

“Troopers seized drug paraphernalia from the location,” said police.

2 cited at hospital

Patients were cited in two separate incidents at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital, 147 Gettys St.

An Adams County Prison inmate who was being treated at the hospital Saturday became disorderly and locked himself in a bathroom, Gettysburg police said. Andrew Uphold, 41, of 681 Quaker Run Road, Aspers, was charged with disorderly conduct after the 4:44 a.m. incident, police said.

A York Springs woman was cited after an incident that injured a nurse Friday at 11:55 a.m., police said. Allie Reisinger, 23, of 708 Latimore Road, was charged with harassment, police said.
