Store threats alleged

A man threatened to return to a store with weapons and harm a manager and employee, Gettysburg police alleged.

The incident occurred April 20 at 12:12 p.m. at Kennie’s Market, 217 W. Middle St., police said.

Benjamin Rapp, 24, of 1A Pin Oak Drive, Gettysburg, was charged with two counts of making terroristic threats and one count each of disorderly conduct and harassment, according to a magisterial docket.

He was held at Adams County Prison until Tuesday, when a bondsman posted $50,000 cash bail, according to the docket.

Strangulation charged

A man is accused of placing a woman in a choke hold after throwing an item at her.

Joshua Strausbaugh, 20, of 791 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, was charged with strangulation and harassment, according to a magisterial docket.

He was held at Adams County Prison in lieu of $15,000 cash bail, according to the docket.

The woman did not seek medical treatment after the 11:30 a.m. incident April 19 on West Middle Street, police said.

Arrested on warrants

A Shippensburg man was jailed on warrants from two counties.

Lance Poppiti, 29, was arrested April 18 after a 3:48 p.m. traffic stop on West Middle Street, Gettysburg police said.

He proved to be wanted by authorities in Lancaster and Cecil, Md., counties, police said.

Poppiti was charged with false identification and driving with alcohol in his system while his license was suspended in connection with driving under the influence, according to a magisterial docket.

He was held at Adams County Prison in lieu of $15,000 cash bail, according to the docket.
