Jailed on threat charge
A shotgun-wielding man was arrested May 12 after threatening to kill a woman in Germany Township, state police said.
Police said they were dispatched at 6:09 p.m. to “an active domestic with a gun involved” in the 1200 block of Fish and Game Road. No injuries occurred, police said.
Timothy Cook, 60, of Littlestown was charged with possessing a firearm when he was prohibited from doing so, terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and two counts of harassment, according to a magisterial document.
He was held at Adams County Prison until May 16, when a bondsman posted $50,000 cash bail, according to the docket.
Cited after crash
A Gettysburg man was ticketed after a three-vehicle crash May 5 on East Berlin Road (Pa. Route 234).
David Bear, 48, of Gettysburg was charged with driving at an unsafe speed after the 2:31 p.m. crash near Hampton in Reading Township, state police said.
Bear, eastbound in a 2008 Ford F650 truck, “failed to observe” a 2013 Smart Fortwo, driven by Angela Magana-Nares, 18, of East Berlin, stopped to turn left onto Stoney Point Road and struck it from behind, police alleged.
The Fortwo spun into the westbound lane, where its passenger side front corner struck the driver side rear corner of a 2010 Mazda 3 driven by Stanley Bolen, 25, of Dover, police said.
Alarm charge filed
A business was charged after authorities received more than three false alarms from its automatic dialing system within 12 months.
UPMC Medical Hanover Group, 20 Expedition Trail, Straban Township, was cited in connection with alarms March 10, April 6, April 15, April 16, May 3, May 5, and May 7, state police said.
Dog citation issued
A Littlestown-area woman was charged with failing to keep a dog confined.
Chevelle Shive, 27, was cited May 11 after an 11:20 a.m. incident at 355 Locust Lane in Mount Pleasant Township, state police said.
Someone shattered the rear window of a Jeep in Franklin Township.
The 2015 Patriot, owned by Maryanne Moritz, 33, of Orrtanna, was damaged May 7 between 7 a.m. and 4:07 p.m. at 409 Green Ridge Road, state police said.
Hit-and-run wreck in Hamilton
Vehicles collided in a hit and run May 7 at the intersection of York Road and Carlisle Pike, Hamilton Township.
A 2017 BMW 430XI driven by Phyllis Stibler, 69, of New Castle, New Hampshire, was struck by an unknown vehicle making a left turn while Stibler was traveling east in the middle eastbound lane, according to police.
Stibler described the unknown vehicle as an “older white pick-up truck”, police said.

A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) May 6 at the intersection of East Berlin and Gun Club roads, Tyrone Township.
A 2005 Ford Explorer, driven by Tammy Kuhn, 37, of York Springs, was stopped at the intersection, Pennsylvania State Police said. Kuhn showed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI, according to police.
