ID misused

Someone used 60-year-old Gettysburg resident Marshall Purdy’s personal information to start a cell phone plan with Verizon Wireless on April 10, state police said.

Purdy said he did not suffer financially, police said.

Hit-run reported

A driver fled the scene of a crash April 10 in Hamilton Township.

William McCracken, 62, of Gap, was eastbound on U.S. Route 30 when another vehicle pulled out from a stop sign and struck the passenger side rear tire of McCracken’s 2017 Ford Fusion, state police said.

The other vehicle departed westward after the 2:15 p.m. crash at 6167 York Road, according to police. No injuries were reported.

Police asked anyone with information to call them at 717-334-8111.

Vehicle, items stolen

Someone took a Gardners man’s vehicle and later returned it with some items missing April 10.

Harry Mummert, 48, reported his 2004 Chevrolet was taken from 328 Labor Camp Road, Huntington Township, about 7:05 p.m., police said.
