Christopher Johnson's defense attorneys called their expert forensic ophthalmologist Dr. John Bullock to the witness stand to begin Monday's testimony.

Bullock testified that Johnson's eyes were dark adjusted just before he got into a gunfight with Pa. WCO David Grove on Nov. 11, 2010 around 10:30 p.m.
Looking into the headlights on Grove's vehicle, Bullock added, Johnson's vision would have blurred and he could have only seen movements and a body, but not specific body parts or smaller details such as the officer's gun.
Defense attorney Kristin Rice is arguing Johnson did not show intent to kill Grove.
On cross-examination Bullock testified that the interior and rear lights from Grove's vehicle could have made it easier for Johnson to see him if the officer was standing near his vehicle.
Defense expert forensic pathologist Dr. Neil Hoffman also testified this morning and confirmed there is a possibility the gunshot wounds to Grove's left foot and right shin could have been self-inflicted.
