Carolyn M. 'Nan' Jeffcoat


Carolyn M. "Nan" Jeffcoat, age 67 of Gettysburg, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at the Gettysburg Hospital.

Born Oct. 7, 1946 in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter Ivan and Dorothy Olive (Pryor) Wagaman. Her husband, the late Ivan G. Jeffcoat Jr., died in 2001.

Nan was a member of the Gettysburg Eagles Auxiliary and the Biglerville American Legion Auxiliary. For the past 12 years, Nan served as the cook at the Gettysburg Eagles. One of her greatest joys was to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, Glenda M. Reese of Fayetteville, Brenda L. Jeffcoat of Gettysburg, and Sandy D. Jeffcoat of Conway, S.C.; five grandchildren, Jessica Arentz, Michael Reese, David Woerner, Andrew Pritt and Matthew Woerner; five great-grandchildren, Kayla Woerner, Brylee Arentz, Rusty Pritt, Madi Mae Woerner and Jacob Ivan Pritt; five siblings, Johnny Wagaman, Dorothy Jean Jeffcoat, Diane Lowe, Vickie Eberhart and Dale Wagaman and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. from the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with Pastor Kenneth Reid officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences and tributes may be made at
