Franz J. Romanic, age 53 of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Hershey Medical Center. He was born Wednesday, July 28, 1965, in Bay Shore, Long Island, N.Y., the son of Joyce I (Mecca) Romanic of Columbia, Pa., and the late Joseph Romanic.
Franz graduated from Hempfield High School in 1983. He earned an associated degree from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in electrical technology. He was employed by Equipment Depot of PA in Mechanicsburg for 14 years. He was a member of Gettysburg Church of Christ, where he was a devoted Bible teacher.
He loved all types of fishing, but especially loved fishing at Cape Hatteras, N.C. He also enjoyed hunting white tail deer and being outdoors in the mountains of Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lorrene Y. (Bull) Romanic. He is also survived by two sons, Hunter A. and wife Becca Romanic of Jonestown, Pa., and Connor J. Romanic of Fayetteville; one granddaughter Sonya Romanic; two sisters, Valerie Romanic of Columbia, and Tonya Best of Elizabethtown; and one brother Drew Romanic of Wilmington, Del.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 6 at 1 p.m. at Lake Heritage Community Center, 1000 Heritage Drive, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
