Jane Virginia Sites, 87, Mount Hope Road, Fairfield, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Gettysburg Center.

She was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Hamiltonban Township, Adams County, the daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Shindledecker Sease. Jane is survived by her husband of 69 years, William Oliver Sites.

Mrs. Sites was a member of Orrtanna United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker who worked seasonally at Knouse Foods. Jane enjoyed bluegrass music and playing her guitar with family and friends. She also liked to crochet and put together puzzles.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sites is survived by three daughters, Donna L. McDannell and her husband Dale of Orrtanna, Debra Ozminski and her husband Allen of Littlestown, and Patricia Williams of North Carolina; a son, W. Christopher Sites and his wife Judy of Orrtanna; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by eight brothers, James Sease, Joseph Sease, John Sease, Robert Sease, Harry Sease, Charles Sease, Kenneth Sease, Leo Sease, and Lawrence Sease; and three sisters, Mary Rider, Maybelle Sease, and Christine Sease.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 11 a.m. from Orrtanna United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Aker officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Fairfield Fire Company, 106 Steelman St., Fairfield, PA 17320.
