Frederick F. Feiser, 95, of New Oxford, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at HeartFields at Frederick. He was the husband of Dorothy R. (Brown) Feiser, his wife of 72 years.

Fred was born Jan. 8, 1919 in New Oxford, the son of the late J. Frank and Florence R. (Garber) Feiser.

Fred was the founder and former owner of Feiser Funeral Home Inc., in New Oxford. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Oxford, and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was also a member of the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, New Oxford Chamber of Commerce, the New Oxford Lions Club, where he was a past president and Melvin Jones Fellowship Award winner, Hebron Lodge #465, New Oxford, Zembo Temple, Harrisburg, AARP, both in New Oxford and nationally, the Antique Automobile Club of America, where he was a past president of the Gettysburg Region, the National, Keystone and Mid Atlantic Packard Clubs, and the American Legion in Gettysburg. He was a former member of PFDA and the Capital City Funeral Directors where he was a past president.

In addition to his wife Dorothy, Fred is survived by a son, J. Clark Feiser of Natchez, Miss., a daughter, Rosina A. Novak and her husband Don of Frederick, Md.; five grandchildren, Indra Books, Robin Feiser, Shannon Price, Felicity Wrigley, and Jessica Reed; and three great grandchildren, Robert Feiser, Jordan Reed and Jayda Reed. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Duttera.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with Rev. Cynthia A. Chambers officiating. Burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery. Viewings will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Novak, Robin Feiser, James Reed, Richard Schwinger, Shirley Millhimes and Marty Wheeler.
