Open house a success

Editor, Gettysburg Times,

The board, volunteers, and staff of the Adams County Historical Society would like to thank the nearly 200 people who attended our recent open house event. It was heartwarming to have so many guests at the archives to meet us and learn about what ACHS does for the community. Several folks found a piece of their own family history highlighted in the evening’s exhibits. We enjoyed our time with you, watching you make discoveries, and hearing the stories that you had to share with us.

Thank for allowing ACHS the opportunity to show you some of the treasures from the collections, spanning nearly 300 years, and to talk about the effort that goes into preserving these materials so our community can continue to appreciate local history for generations to come.

There will be more programs like our open house event coming soon and we hope to see you there!

Benjamin Neely,

Executive Director,

Adams County Historical Society
