Correct clock owner

Editor, Gettysburg Times,

The letter yesterday that refers to the irony that the clock on the square was not working right, even though it’s so close to the House of Time needs a bit of clarification. It would have been nice of the writer to call the House of Time and find out the fact that the clock is owned by ACNB and they haven’t asked for help with it, nor were they aware that it wasn’t working. The House of Time specializes in restoration of mechanical clocks and watches. Gettysburg is very fortunate to have this great clock on the square, but it’s a contemporary electric model, purchased and installed in 2000.

Thank you for the opportunity to provide this clarification. If the writer of yesterday’s letter would please take note to inform the bank the next time she sees it malfunction, that would save us unnecessary distress.

Deb Collins,

for The House of Time
