Wendi Snyder threw a one-hitter over three innings and brought home three runs at the plate in the Bolts’ quick victory over William Penn on Friday.

Snyder was one of six batters to pick up at least two hits in the contest. Eight players scored two runs apiece. Jada Mummert and Kacie Frock each had three RBI. Carter Clabaugh hit a triple and Caitlin Eader homered in the contest.

The Hawkettes were held to three hits in a five-inning loss to York Tech on Friday.

Gettysburg took a lead with a three-run inning in the top of the sixth, but couldn’t hold it before the game was called for rain on Friday.

Kaelyn Blocher, Jenna Brasee, Ella Andras and Jordyn Schachle had two hits apiece and five players drove home two runs. Blocher popped two of the team’s seven doubles.

The Bolts jumped all over the Bearcats for a 10-run first, leading to a five-inning victory at home on Friday.

Devin Peart drove home four runs, Jakob Lane collected two hits and two runs while picking up a triple and Zach Jones and Austin Brown both singled twice in the win. Brady Arndt picked up the victory from the hill, allowing only two hits and two walks during five innings. He struck out five.

Delone Catholic and Fairfield were tied at 6-6 before rain forced the game to be suspended. Action will resume at a later date.


Littlestown 3, Dover 2

Littlestown swept in singles to overcome a pair of forfeits in doubles on Friday.

Jimbo Arnett had a three-setter, splitting 3-6, 6-2 before taking a 10-game pro set, 10-5.

The Squires couldn’t snag a win against Northeastern.

No. 1 Matt Steinberg gave the best fight with a 7-6, 6-3 defeat to Bobcat Josh Sanderson.
