SAVING HIS BEST FOR LAST — Delone Catholic quarterback Kevin Mowrey throws a pass during a game against Fairfield earlier this season. Mowrey passed for 221 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for a touchdown, in Friday night’s 36-28 loss to Upper Dauphin in the District 3 Class 2A championship game.

When Upper Dauphin punched in a touchdown to hike its lead to 16 points with barely over two minutes left in the game, it certainly looked like it was over.

But a team that began its season 0-3 and knows a little something about responding to adversity never failed to believe – and nearly pulled off a stunner.
