Bermudian Springs’ Tyler Sims knocked home the game-winning run, then tossed a shutdown inning in extras to earn a must-have victory on the road Tuesday.

Sims drove home Mitchell Sassani from third on a grounder that got through the left side of the infield. An Aden Juelich bunt single followed and Brock Carpenter scored on an error resulting from the play.

Sims went back to the mound and struck out three straight batters to put the game away in eight innings.

The Bolts were held to three hits by Smis and starter Tyler Reinert, who struck out eight and walked four in 6.1 innings. In the bottom of the seventh, with the Eagles leading 3-2, Littlestown’s Austin Kipple hit a sac fly that scored Coleman Owings to tie.

Reinert and Shane Starner had two hits apiece in the game for the Eagles.

The Squirettes jumped all over York Catholic for 10 runs in the second, allowing for an easy exit on the road on Tuesday.

Lauren Little, Katie Ernst, Emma Schneider and Meredith Wilson had two hits apiece. Ernst smacked a double and drove in two runs along with Wilson and Schneider.

Maggie Rickrode pitched a no-hitter, striking out six and walking four while earning the victory.
