The Biglerville High School boys’ soccer team had lost just once all season, making the sting of a hard-fought double-overtime defeat to West York in YAIAA Tournament quarterfinals all the more painful.

Biglerville (17-2, 14-0 YAIAA-3) dominated play throughout the first half and held a big lead in shots and scoring opportunities, but it was West York which capitalized on a defensive breakdown. Jake Altimore found the back of the net with 4:30 left in the second extra session to put West York (11-5-2, 7-3-2 YAIAA-2) into Thursday’s semifinal by a score of 2-1 at Dallastown.
