The Green Knights scored a sweep of the visiting Canners on Tuesday afternoon.

Milly Heinbaugh kept on churning out wins at a blurring pace, stacking three more triumphs beside her name. Heinbaugh was first to the line in the 100 and 200 dashes, and won the long jump by more than a foot.

Zoe Logue dusted the field in the 100 hurdles and the triple jump, and Honey Strosnider led the field in the 800 and 1600 runs.

Morgan Dennison (3200), Rio Strosnider (400), Natalie Brown (discus), Jasmine Grams (high jump) and Aliyah Hillman (pole vault) all added first-place points for the homestanding Knights.

Canner Kenzie White threw a season-best 114-9 to win the javelin and Morgan Martin led a sweep in the shot put with a winning throw of 24-11.

Erica King cleared the competition in the 300 hurdles for Biglerville as well.

Garrett Stadler enjoyed a big day with three victories, topping all competitors in the 100 and 300 hurdles, as well as the high jump. John Whitcomb (1600), Elijah Jarosz (200), Peyton Stadler (400), Gabe Schubring (3200) and Travis Zimmerman (shot put) won their respective events for the hosts, who also swept all three relays.

Canner senior Derek Tosten unleashed a javelin throw of 168-4, the best in the Times Area this season. Tosten also won the long jump.

Biglerville’s Kalen Sharrah won the 100 (11.3) and discus, while Russell Zullick (triple jump) and Carter Tatara (pole vault) were also victorious.

The Squirettes locked up a YAIAA-3 title stopping the Eagles on Tuesday to remain undefeated.

Maddie Clabaugh roared to wins in the 200 and 400 while adding a runner-up finish to teammate Brooke Lawyer in the 100. Bailey Wagaman delivered victories in the long jump and high jump, and Maddie Sieg threw a 123-9 to claim the javelin.

Becky Hernandez (800) and Julia O’Brien (3200) added winning points to Delone’s pile, as did Becca Dolce in the shot put.

Berm’s Kayla Pyles continued to roll in the hurdles, winning both the 100 and 300 meter events. Rebecca Durbin (1600) and Jennifer Garcia-Reyes (discus) also netted victories for the hosts.

Kolt Byers scored wins in four events as Bermudian breezed to a big win on the boys’ side. Byers was first in the triple jump (43-1), long jump (19-6), high jump (6-4) and pole vault (11-9). Byers set a new season best with his mark in the high jump.

Ryan Hart was victorious in the 400 and javelin, and Ryan Lauver set a personal best with a 46-6 in the shot.

Squire Mason Clabaugh lowered his best times of the season in winning the 100 (11.2) and 200 (23.1) dashes.

York Tech girls 100, Hanover 45

Zack Reck and Malcolm Gerlach combined to score more than half of Hanover’s points in the boys’ competition on Tuesday.

Reck beat the field in the 110 hurdles (16.5) and 300 hurdles (42.5), as well as the high jump (5-6). Reck was also third in the triple jump.

Gerlach took the win in the pole vault (10-0) in addition to finishing second in the short hurdle race and third in the longer event.

Sydney DeLong beat out teammate Madelyn Hutton to lead a 1-2 finish in the 3200 for the Hawkettes, and Zoe Reck completed a lap in 1:09.8 to win the 400.

Mattie Heath was first in the shot put in addition to placing second in both the javelin and discus.

The Lions (11-2) struck for two of their three hits and all four runs in a pivotal fourth inning against the visiting Eagles on Tuesday. Cole Bayesa’s two-run single was the big blow.

The Eagles (8-4) sliced the deficit in half in the fifth when Jake Carroll singled, Aden Juelich drew a walk and Tyler Reinert drilled a double that chased home both runners.

Tyler Sims and Tucker Byers combined on a three-hitter in the loss, fanning three and walking three.

Squire senior Dillon Kadis reached a milestone in Tuesday’s YAIAA loss to the Lions. The team captain recorded his 100th career goal, coming in only three seasons of varsity competition.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

New Oxford 3, Susquehannock 1

The Colonials rallied past the Warriors in four hotly-contested games on Tuesday. After dropping the opener 25-23, the Ox won by scores of 26-24, 25-21 and 25-21.

New Oxford spread out the firepower up front, where Chase Nell’s 11 kills led the way. Jaren Rex and Thomas Haugh notched nine kills apiece while Joe Angleberger had eight and Sergio Lua finished with five.

Cameron Krebs paced the defense with 15 digs, followed by Matt Faust with 11 and 10 each from Rex and Luke Fringer.

Faust was credited with 42 assists and a pair of aces.

BOYS’ TENNIS

Delone Catholic 4, Mechanicsburg 1

The Squires put the finishing touches on an 11-3 record by waxing the Wildcats on Tuesday.

Matt Steinberg, Paul Tily and Evan Brady keyed the win with a sweep in singles play. All three Squirettes won in straight sets.
