South Western 13, Gettysburg 6

The Mustangs were the first team in three games to pick up a hit against the Warriors. Once they broke through, it was open season as they collected 13 runs on 13 hits Thursday.

Cora Rebert picked up three hits, including a double, Kendall Snyder smacked a double and a homer while driving in four and Emalee Reed did the same for three more RBI during the Mustangs’ explosion. Reed also picked up the win, recovering from a four-run first to allow only two more runs the rest of the game. Only two of the six were earned.

Jordyn Resetar and Bri Lankford also had two hits apiece for South Western. Gettysburg’s Kaelyn Blocher reached all four times with two walks and two hits, including a double, while driving home two. Faith Boone also collected two hits and drove home a run. Both batters doubled.

Littlestown 17, Biglerville 0

Carter Clabaugh and Jada Mummert scored four runs apiece while strolling past Biglerville in three innings on Thursday.

Amaya Bowman pitched two strong innings to get the victory, striking out four. She was helped quickly by the Thunderbolt bats. Mummert had a pair of hits. Megan Gorsuch and Kacie Frock each rocked doubles. All three drove in two runs apiece, along with Baily Smith and Alex Cross.

Biglerville’s Hanna Ryan broke up the no-hitter in the third.

Bermudian Springs 11, Dover 1

Bermudian Springs stayed hot with a convincing win over the YAIAA’s other Eagles from Dover.

Maya Kemper pitched a complete game in which she allowed only three hits and a run. She also drove home three runs, singled and doubled. Emily Shearer doubled as well in a three-hit performance, driving home two. Abby Hursh was the last to double, also collecting two hits.

Littlestown 16, Hanover 1

Carter Clabaugh led the Littlestown hit parade, as the Bolts pounded out 14 hits and 16 runs at home against Hanover on Wednesday.

Clabaugh was a home run away from the cycle, driving in four runs and scoring a pair. Bailey Smith, Molly Watkins, Megan Gorsuch,Amaya Bowman and Carli Thayer all had two hits apiece. Smith knocked in four runs and Thayer drove home three. Bowman struck out seven while claiming the win from the pitcher’s circle.

Hanover was limited to a hit and a run. Both came from pitcher Keana Noel.

Northeastern 5, New Oxford 4

Blake Phillips was a fighter on the mound and at the plate for New Oxford, but the Colonials couldn’t survive an eight-inning affair with Northeastern on Thursday.

Phillips picked up a couple of hits and went into the eighth, striking out three without a walk. He picked up the loss after being relieved when Wade Wolfgang hit a game-winning double to knock home Jaden Hennel.

The Eagles couldn’t pick up a win against a competitive West York team on Thursday.

Jarrett LoConte and Ethan Mechling gave as much of a fight as they could at No. 1 doubles, dropping a 7-5, 7-6 (7) match.

The Squires dropped only two games in a smashing victory over Dover on Thursday.

Matt Steinber, Paul Tily and Evan Brady each picked up singles wins. Steinber shut out his opponent.

Matt Faust dealt out 17 assists and Cameron Krebs picked up 10 digs, but Northeastern pulled away with a 25-15, 25-16, 25-16 victory at Northeastern Thursday.

Chase Nell led the Colonials with seven kills. Krebs followed with three.
