Raise your hand if you find that there’s little else more peaceful than time spent among the woods? Here’s a high level view earlier this week, as the author was waiting for a shooter buck to walk by during Pennsylvania’s archery season. A lot of deer were doing well at avoiding an ambush.

While it appears that Sunday hunting in Pennsylvania is a done deal, we won’t be able to take it outside any time soon, especially not in time for these hunting seasons.

Senate Bill 147 made it through the state House of Representatives, with its three-day provision, and will likely become law. The bill would permit the Pennsylvania Game Commission to permit Sunday hunting on three Sundays: one within archery deer season; one in the firearms deer season; and another of the Commission’s choosing.
