On a cold Tuesday morning earlier this month, I went to Lincoln Square looking for my father. I’d placed an order for one of these engraved bricks that Main Street Gettysburg embeds in the downtown pavement.

The installation had been scheduled for early November, but this is 2020 after all, and I gather that while the blocks had arrived on time, they were somehow cut to the wrong size, and had to be refitted.
