The Center For Youth and Community Development (CFYCD) and Collaborating For Youth (CFY) understand that capacity development and sustainability of culturally competent approaches are necessary to the well-being of our Adams County communities.

In fact, CFYCD and CFY view cultural competency as a critical component of their work, particularly in using the strategic prevention framework approach to give voice and power to community members to engage in prevention activities for their own communities.

Naia Roberts is a senior at Fairfield Area High School and has been a member of the CFY Youth Coalition for three years. She has been involved in creating positive changes both within her school and in the community.
