It has not rained on a Saturday morning in York Springs in over a year, ever since our church prayed that it would not. There is an ongoing miracle occurring in town that started last year.

Last May half of our community was out of work, declared non-essential in the middle of the pandemic. Our church was on our knees learning to trust in God and looking for ways to serve the community. In a conversation with Nina Tipler (the mayor of York Springs) she told me that people were out of work and out of food, with empty refrigerators. The government delayed its unemployment checks, and people had nothing.

Tyler Weidler is the pastor of York Springs Foursquare Church.
