Every caretaker has had one of those mornings, maybe things were chaotic, the kids wouldn’t listen, and you are just trying to get out the door to go to work. OK, kids in the car, finally being peaceful, driving to work, a quick look in the rearview, and oh no, you forgot to take the kids to daycare.

It happens. Sometimes babies and children are so peaceful in the car it’s easy to forget they are there, or sometimes, it may be tempting to leave a sleeping baby rest in the vehicle to run into the store. However, besides being illegal, leaving a child alone in a car can lead to serious injury and death from heatstroke.
