Running presents itself with many challenges. There’s training for your runs, getting up early to beat the heat, burning through shoes on a regular basis, and the occasional sore muscles. Fortunately, though, running also presents one with some tremendous opportunities to share your love of the sport with others.

There are individuals that want to participate in running events yet due to limited mobility are unable to do so on their own. That’s where an organization called Athletes Service Athletes (ASA) plays a role. ASA’s goal is to provide the resources for those with limited mobility to train for and participate in mainstream running events; this is accomplished by individuals who volunteer as a “wingman.”
