This year, as many of you will have read in these pages, Gettysburg CARES switched from accommodating guests at a rotation of local churches to offering guests rooms in a local motel.

Though this change created a huge jump in operating costs for the program, it was deemed the best way to preserve public health during these, wait for it, “unprecedented times.”
