Taking a break

The magnificent Blad Eagle was breathing through its open bill while at the highest point of the imposing tower that stretches the crackling electric lines across Crooked Creek Rd. With each breath, a bird can regulate its body temperature. Many enjoy a splash or a soak in a creek or pond. Several summers ago I saw an immature Red-tailed Hawk splashing in Marsh Creek and an Osprey landing in a lake to sit for a few cool minutes.
