Land Conservancy Month No. 5

“One day, I look forward to taking my own grandchildren out to pick cherries and apples on the farms I once did with my own children and husband. Maybe we’ll explore the beautiful trails and trek through the creek to uncover rocks and crayfish and spot fish of our own. It’s because of these experiences and dreams that I feel so strongly about the preservation of field and forest alike throughout Adams County. I hope my enthusiasm for the natural beauty of this area passes along to other residents and visitors, so they, too, will want to preserve it for future generations.” —Erica Duffy The Land Conservancy of Adams County celebrates Land Conservancy Month his year by emphasizing the importance of passing on a love for our rural lands and character. You can help protect Adams County’s rural lands by bidding on art donated to the conservancy’s annual art auction, April 2-21. More information at
