Flag presented to local legion

Members of the American Legion Riders Chapter 221 of Bedford, Massachusetts, Saturday present Gettysburg Legion Chapter 202 Past Post Commander Jim Sutton with a replica Bedford Battle Flag, the oldest known existing American Battle Flag, flown during the Battle at the Concord Bridge April 19, 1775. “We honor and share our American Legion heritage this Memorial Day weekend with our brother and sister riders, members and supporters,” said Bedford Vice-President Lee Stevens. “If we didn’t have Concord in 1775, there might never been a Gettysburg battle,” said Theresa Stevens, Bedford’s membership director.
