Sterner falls

GOING DOWN — Rich Sterner, left, falls backward before landing on the ground after someone sharing an opposing view clashed with Black Lives Matter protesters Saturday on Gettysburg’s Breckenridge Street.

After being shoved to the ground during a protest Saturday afternoon in Gettysburg, State Senate candidate Rich Sterner said his first thought was to prevent the situation from escalating.

Sterner received three stitches in his right hand as a result of the incident, after which borough police charged a man with harassment and released him.
